French Brand
The Brand
The brand was born during the summer of 2020. Seeing my mother return from the optician’s with a nylon cord gave me the idea of creating an eyewear chain that could be worn like a piece of jewelry. I didn’t understand how an accessory that was so practical could be… well, let’s just say so unattractive (not to say ugly). I wanted to create a chain that could be a real fashion accessory. That’s how I started to create the very first glasses chain for my mom. I liked the idea so much that I said to myself, “Why not create my own brand? And that’s how Atelier Kat H was born, to bring the glasses cord up to date and transform it into a trendy piece of jewelry!
A committed brand
At Atelier Kat H, all our jewelry is hand-assembled in our workshop in Saint-Malo (Brittany). We’re convinced that more ethical fashion starts with local production. First of all, because handcrafting guarantees the quality and durability of our jewelry. But also because it allows us to offer you a unique piece of jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else. In addition, each collection is produced in small batches, to avoid overstocking.
As part of our ecological approach, we use recyclable materials as much as possible. We send all your orders in cardboard postboxes. We print our stamps on recycled paper labels. We have banned the use of plastic in the shipment of our parcels. And thanks to these small gestures, we hope to participate in our own small way in a renewal of the fashion sector, for a more environmentally responsible production.
Behind Atelier Kat H
The designer
For me, fashion is a way of asserting myself in the world. In a society of image, where what I show is what I am, fashion is undoubtedly the best way to assert one’s singularity. Discreet, ambitious, rebellious or assertive, our style says it all. For me, designing fashion accessories is a way of offering women the opportunity to find the jewelry that will make them feel beautiful and in harmony with themselves. That’s why chic & practical are the two adjectives that guide my creative process, for accessories that are useful, ethical and elegant.
